WHAT IS IT WE DO?

JUMPSTART is a registered charity providing affordable play sessions for pre-school children and their parents and carers. 

By being grant maintained we keep our charges as low as possible so everybody can come along and play.  There’s no need to book or pay in advance, just come along!

Each session is run by our friendly, qualified staff and offers free and supervised play with our soft play equipment, songs, stories and refreshments.

Jumpstart has been running since 1996.  We take our van full of soft-play equipment to various venues and run soft-play sessions for young children and their parents or carers.  

Adults stay during the session and, after having a chat over a cup of tea or coffee can get involved with the games with their children.

We carry information leaflets on loads of interesting things from where to go for a great day out to where to go for help; from help with weaning to help quit smoking.

We also invite visitors to our sessions from time to time to offer help and advice on a whole range of subjects from childrens teeth, childrens feet, re-training for adults, housing etc.

For some of our sessions we work very closely with Health Visitors, the Post Natal sessions, Young Mums and our session at The Lea all benefit from a health professional being on hand for informal chats and reassurance.
