JUMPSTART is a registered charity providing affordable mobile play sessions for pre-school children and their parents and carers.

By being grant maintained we keep our charges as low as possible so everybody can come along and play.  There’s no need to book or pay in advance, just come along!

Each session is run by our friendly, qualified staff and offers structured and un-structured play with our soft-play equipment together with songs, stories and refreshments.

Jumpstart was set up in 1995 and play sessions started in 1996.  We take our van full of soft-play equipment to various venues and run soft-play sessions for young children and their parents or carers.  

Adults stay during the session and, after having a chat over a cup of tea or coffee can get involved with the games with their children. Jumpstart is not a nursery and we don't provide childcare facilities. Our sessions give you a chance to stay and play with your child.

Jumpstart has a voluntary Management Committee and we are always looking for willing members of the team to get involved.  We offer training and support and it is a great way to get involved and develop your skills and confidence.

Jumpstart has achieved the Herefordshire Childcare Services Gold Quality Assurance award which is a nationally recognised scheme approved by Investors in Children.

We have also gained Approved Provider Status and a ‘fitness for purpose’ kite-mark through The Alliance of Voluntary Sector Organisations in Health and Social Care, of which we are Members.

Jumpstart has expanded a lot in recent years and often works collaboratively with Health Professionals to offer support and advice where needed.  Good examples of this are our work with Post Natal groups and Children's Centres.
